Why is church membership important?- Scripture teaches that all believers in Jesus Christ are members of His Church. The Bible uses a word picture to describe this in Romans 12:5 “so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.”
- Jesus Christ is as committed to us as He possibly can be and so it follows that we should look for ways to respond in kind. Committing ourselves to a local body of believers that is part of Christ’s church is one of the tangible ways we can do that.
- In a culture where commitment is no longer highly valued, recognizable membership is an essential step that moves each of us into the place of committed participation.
Who may become a member of UDAC?- Membership is open to anyone who has received Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord, who has been baptized after becoming a Christian and who is seeking to live in obedience to the principles of God’s Word.
- The person seeking membership will be asked to attend 2 or 3 classes in which a number of things will be discussed including the Statement of Faith of UDAC and the general direction and values of the church which we ask members to subscribe to and promote.
- After the classes the person seeking membership will be asked to participate in a personal interview with a church leader(s) to explore their level of understanding of membership and how God is using them to serve.
- If you wish to become a member please contact the church office at 381-7171.
