Kyle Miller
Length of time at church: Started here in August 2010
Place of Birth: Calgary, Alberta, home to not only the best NHL team on the planet, but also a CFL team which is infinitely better than the Riders.
Family: I come from a loving Christian family of my Mom, Dad, older sister and younger brother.
How I became a Christian: I grew up in an environment where Christianity permeated every part of my life. My family and I went to church every week and we were all involved with the church heavily from the get go. Later on in Jr. High I began to understand more clearly the reality of Christ’s existence and work on earth. I decided in my heart and life that because Jesus is the answer to life here on earth and after, that I needed to dedicate my life to helping people understand this. It is now my passion to minister to youth and young adults specifically to spread the Good News of Christ to the world.
Key Verse for this season of your life & why it touches you:
1 John 5:11-12
And this is what God has testified: He has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have God’s Son does not have life. People are looking for meaning to life and a reason to wake up in the morning. We can search for this in anything and everything the world has to offer and fail. Through Jesus Christ alone we find meaning and life.
Few people know that… Well, if you don’t know me, I suppose you wouldn’t know a lot about me. But, for those who have spent any amount of time with me would know I love Starbucks (Love, love, love, love, loooooovvveee), I hate golf, love hockey, especially the Calgary Flames, I love writing, I love people, and I consider the most embarrassing moments of my life as opportunities to tell an awesome story to pretty much anyone that I can.
